Debjit Mukherjee: “Every citizen living in India is a Hindu” explosive comment made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday while attending the inauguration of a building of the daily Tarun Bharat newspaper in Nagpur. He said, “Hindustan or India is Hindu Rashtra. That is true. So all Indians are Hindus. And Hindu means all Indians. All people living in India are associated with Hindu culture. From Hindu Rashtra to Hindu antecedents, Hinduism is linked to everything.”
He also said, “Everyone has understood this essence. But many deny it. They do not identify themselves as Hindus due to long habit. Some are selfish. Some still do not understand that they belong to Hindu Rashtra.”
