News Desk: The District Youth Convention was organized by Nehru Kendra Hooghly under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports at Jatirindranath Sava Ghar, Chandannagar. State Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra sangathan West Bengal & Andaman and Nicobar was the chief guest of the program, She gave the message of self-reliant India and spoke about the contribution of youth in various fields. District Youth Officer Miss Arunima gave more details of the various program running under NYK Hooghly such as Jal Jagaran, Aatma nirbhar bharat abhiyan, Block and District level sports, Career counseling and UNICEF projects where youths can contribute as a volunteer. the youth expressed their views on various issues like self reliant India, contribution of youth in democracy, development of youth.
The event was attended by Prof.Debnarayan Saha , Head master of khalisani High school Mr. Subhayan Mitra, International kabadi player Mr. Ram kr Saha and football player Mr.Debasis kundu.
