Top TMC leader blamed Mamata-Abhishek’s difference behind problems over candidate list

News Desk: “Mamata-Abhishek’s difference is responsible for the problems surrounding the list of candidates” said a top TMC leader (didn’t wanted to disclose his name)

Dismissing Firhad Hakim’s claim of “Password Hack”, he said, “If this is a case of password theft, why weren’t the posts on Facebook and Twitter removed within 48 hours?”

He further added that “This division is likely to increase in the future. The difference of opinion between Abhishek Banerjee and Mamata Banerjee is the reason why there are so many problems with the civic polls candidate list”.

Protests of party workers were seen in districts over the announcement of candidates for the civic polls. The list which was first published on the official website, was described as ‘invalid’. Later a new list was published. But even that did not solve the matter.

When the I-PAC was blamed for this, TMC General secretary Partha Chatterjee and Prashant Kishor had an argument.

Later it was found that the list was published without informing Mamata Banerjee. This list then was labelled as ‘fake’.

TMC general secretary Partha Chatterjee and state president Subrata Bakshi released the list approved by the chief minister. Another list was later uploaded to the team’s Facebook page and Twitter handle. Meanwhile, Firhad Hakim, a Trinamool leader close to Mamata, claimed that the password of the TMC website had been misused.
