Under the leadership of Shri Ramakanta Panda, HOP Farakka, various events were organized across the project and surrounding areas to promote the values of “Swachhta”.
The campaign began with the Swachhata Pledge across various departments of NTPC Farakka, emphasizing the commitment to cleanliness. Key activities included a Walkathon at FHC Township and the “Swachhta Selfie” initiative, where participants showcased their involvement. A tree plantation drive, ‘Ek Ped Ma ke Naam,’ was organized where more than 200 trees are planted at PTS township and Sayed Prof. Nurul Hasan College, Farakka.
As part of the cleanliness drive, three Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) were identified: NTPC TTS More, New Farakka Bus Stand, and Feeder Canal Road. These areas, along with FHC Market, were thoroughly cleaned to promote hygiene and sanitation in the surrounding community.
