Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo joined TMC

News Desk: Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo, on Saturday, joined the ruling Trinamool Congress of West Bengal in the presence of the party’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee and Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’ Brien.

“I am coming back for a great opportunity to serve Bengal”: Babul Supriyo

“I’m very proud that I am changing my decision. I am coming back for a great opportunity to serve Bengal. I am very excited. I will meet Didi on Monday. I am overwhelmed by the warm welcome.

I meant it from my heart when I said I’ll leave politics. However, I felt there was a huge opportunity that was entrusted upon me. All my friends said my decision to leave politics was wrong and emotional.

Didi and Abhishek have given me a great opportunity. As I have joined TMC, there is no point in holding on to my seat in Asansol. I’ve come into politics because of Asansol. I will do for that constituency as much as possible.

Mamata Banerjee needs no campaign but if the party considers me, I will be happy to campaign in Bhawanipore”

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh on Babul Supriyo joining TMC

“Many BJP leaders are in communication with Trinamool leadership. They are not satisfied with BJP. One joined today, another wants to join tomorrow. This process will go on. Wait and watch”
