News Desk: Cracks in Indo-US relations amid Russia-Ukraine war. USA warns India again over importing oil from Russia.
On Monday, White House Press Secretary Jane Saki hinted that importing oil from Russia would “hurt India’s interests”.
“No financial sanctions have been imposed on energy transactions. It is the decision of each country. We and a few other countries have decided not to import energy. I don’t think importing oil and other goods from Russia will serve India’s interests” he said.
However, India has already made it clear that it will continue to import Russian oil to meet its energy needs.
