Tapan Kandu murder case: An audio went viral; Congress workers celebrating Kala Diwas

News Desk: An audio went viral where it has been heard that a TMC activist, named Amol Kandu was pressurizing dead Congress councillor Tapan Kandu to join the ruling party.

In the conversation, the name of Vijay Kandu has been heard. According to local sources, he is the Congress councilor of ward number one of Jhalda municipality. He too was pressured to join TMC.

The TMC activist admitted that he called Tapan Kandu. He said “Our activists were skeptical that I was voting for Tapan Da. So to explain them I called Tapan Da in front of them. At that time I told Tapan Da that you have to come to TMC. Nothing more”.

On this day, board was formed in Jhalda municipality. The Congress said that they will not take part in it. They will protest Tapan Kandu’s murder. They are celebrating this day as Kala Diwas. Congress will also march in the city wearing black badge.

Congress district president Nepal Mahato said “We will protest in a democratic way. This is a historic day where we can see that the attempt to form a board by killing one councilor has become successful”.
