Debjit Mukherjee: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath gave a stern reply to Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin in connection with Sanatan Dharma remark controversy. He made these remarks on the last day of the week-long ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yajna’ religious gathering at Gorakhnath Temple.
He said, “Sanatana Dharma is the only religion, all others are subsects or systems of worship. Sanatan Dharma is the religion of humanity. If this religion is attacked, there will be a crisis of humanity around the world.”
He also said, “An open mind is needed to understand the Gita. A narrow view can never grasp its immensity.”
