Debjit Mukherjee: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mega election campaign of the country’s four poll-bound states begins on Saturday. It will continue until next Wednesday. Modi will address the ‘Parivarthan Mahasankalp’ meeting at the college ground after the ‘Parivarthan Yatra’ in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh on Saturday. Besides inaugurating several development projects in Telangana’s Mehbubnagar, he will hold a meeting in Hyderabad on Sunday. Modi will visit BJP-ruling Madhya Pradesh on October 2. After holding a meeting in Gwalior, he will leave for Congress-ruling Rajasthan. The Prime Minister has a campaign program in Chittoorgarh on the same day.
In fact, the BJP is facing a tough fight in all the four states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. Congress is in power in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP is fighting against the odds. The main fight in Telangana is between Congress and BRS. However, the Prime Minister hopes that the BJP will do well in the state.
