Debjit Mukherjee: The Reserve Bank of India had announced last May that if anyone has a Rs 2000 note, they should deposit it in the bank by September 30. More than three months have passed since then. Finally, the central bank said on Friday that 93% of the notes have already been deposited. In all, it has been reported that 3.32 trillion rupees of notes have been received.
