News Desk: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi took at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government on the passed farm bills. He said that the Prime Minister’s intention behind the passing of these bills is clear.
He tweeted “Modi ji’s intention is ‘clear’. New efforts are anti-agriculture (is to) uproot farmers and benefit capitalist friends”. The tweet came after the central government increased the minimum support price for key winter crops.
He also pointed out that if the government’s intention to guarantee MSP, why is there no clause in the bills that stipulate that the “price shall not be less than the MSP” for that produce.
