News Desk: West Bengal was ranked ninth by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion in ‘ease of doing business’ in 2019, but the state had begun making forays into e-governance way back in 2012.
Digitisation of work has been completed in 238 of the 341 blocks. Be it land records, trade licences, building plans or welfare schemes, the delivery of government services at the municipal and panchayat levels has become simpler, faster and paperless.
