Debjit Mukherjee: Chandrayaan 3 came closer to achieve its goal. It entered the 153×163 km orbit of the Moon. The Lander Vikram is scheduled to separate from its propulsion module tomorrow.
It is known that the propulsion module consists of a large solar panel and a cylinder. Lander Vikram and Rover Pragyan are associated with it. Once separated from them, the propulsion module will act as a relay satellite. On the other hand, Vikram will proceed to make a soft landing on the lunar surface. If it falls on the ground of the moon, the work of Pragyan will begin. After Wednesday’s success, ISRO is now looking towards Thursday.
