Debjit Mukherjee: Indian security forces achieved major success in Kashmir before Independence Day. Nikesh, a Pakistani militant, was shot by BSF along the border at Simbal Sakol village in Pathankot district. However, nothing is known about his identity yet.
It is known that the dead militant was seen roaming along the Line of Control around 12:30 pm on August 14. The person started coming towards the border slowly. Despite warnings from BSF, he kept trying to enter India. After that he was shot dead.
