Modi’s strong message to India Alliance on Independence Day

Debjit Mukherjee: Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a strong message to the opposition India Alliance on Independence Day. At the end of his long speech at Red Fort, he said in a defiant tone, “I will deliver speech here again on Independence Day next year. I will give an account of what we have done for one year”.

Recently, Mamata Banerjee, one of the faces of the India Alliance, repeatedly said that this will be Modi’s last speech at the Red Fort and a representative of the India Alliance will deliver a speech in Delhi on Independence Day next year. Today, in a tone of challenge, Modi explained that no matter how strong India alliance is, they are the ones who’ll be in power again.
