News Desk: “There are innumerable idols of Hindu gods and goddesses inside the Taj Mahal” said Rajnish Singh, the leader in charge of Ayodhya district in Uttar Pradesh.
He filed a petition in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, saying “20 rooms inside the Taj Mahal are locked. There are many Hindu deities and traditional religious relics hidden there. I want the court to direct the Archaeological Survey of India to reopen those rooms. Only then will the truth come out”. He also urged the court to direct the state government to form a committee on this issue.
Incidentally, BJP MP Vinay Katihar called for the demolition of the Taj Mahal. In his words, there should be only the former Tejo Mahalay on the banks of the Yamuna in Agra, not the Taj Mahal.
