Huge setback for Hindutva activists in connection with the Qutub Minar controversy

News Desk: Huge setback for Hindutva activists in connection with the Qutub Minar controversy. On one hand, the court said no to rituals and on the other hand, the Archaeological Survey of India said that it is impossible to convert the monument into a temple.

A case was filed in Delhi’s Saket court seeking restoration of the temple on the premises of Qutub Minar. The court made it clear that if the gods could survive for 800 years without any worship, they would be able to do so in the future. The court also said that the right to worship could be curtailed to maintain peace and order. Meanwhile, the ASI informed the court with an affidavit that it is impossible to convert the Qutub Minar into a temple.
