News Desk: NSS’s seven-day state unity camp is starting at Medinipur Women’s College with 200 representatives from 18 states.

National service project Rashtriya Ekta Shibir is starting from Wednesday at Raja Narendralal Khan Women’s College in Medinipur. Organized jointly by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of India, Regional Directorate of NSS, Kolkata and Raj Narendralal Khan Mahila Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous) Professors and officials will attend. The main theme of this year’s camp is “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to mark the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The camp will be inaugurated by Vidyasagar University Vice Chancellor Professor Shivaji Pratim Basu Basu on Wednesday afternoon. District Governor of West Midnapore Dr. Rashmi Kamal will be present as the chief guest. District Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar will be present as the special guest. Chairman of Medinipur Municipality Soumen Khan, Vice Chancellors of different universities and other eminent persons will be present as the guest of honor. The seven-day Ekta Shibir will host various sports, cultural programs and competitions including flag hoisting, processions, discussion meetings and paving the way for unity among the diverse people of India. Focus on this program throughout the Women’s College. Principal Jayshree Laha, Principal, Women’s College, Binoy Kumar, Regional Officer, NSS, Kolkata, and Prof. Devyani Mukherjee, Program Officer, NSS were present at a press conference on the occasion on Tuesday afternoon.
