Mamata Banerjee lashed out at the center over not giving money and misuse of central agencies

News Desk: The state government decided to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel. According to sources, the TMC government has reduced VAT on petrol by Rs 2.80 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.20 per liter.

In this context, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said “The BJP government did not raise the cess. We don’t get it but it goes to the central government. People are now saying that other states have reduced VAT a lot and we have not. Take a look at the news, how much money the BJP-ruled states get from the Center and how much we deserve! They are only burdening us”.

The Chief Minister also lashed out at the Central Government for its continuous misuse of central agencies. He said “The government is running the government through the central agency. Agencies like CBI, ED should be allowed to function impartially. The country must be saved from the rule of agency. The center is interfering in everything. The government is running in Tughlaq style. What is going on is selling the country. Even Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini will feel ashamed”.
