News Desk: At a press conference after the cabinet meeting on Monday, chief minister Mamata Banerjee announced the appointment of 2020 women constables.
The Chief Minister said “Out of the 2020 women constables, 1420 will be recruited in the winners squad of the state police. They will also patrol with scooters in the style of Kolkata police. The intelligence department will recruit 600 people (both men and women). 105 people will be appointed as special home guards in Jangalmahal (out of which 48 are ex-Maoists and the rest are members of Maoist families)”
