News Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah made controversial remarks at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Languages ​​on Thursday. He made it clear that “Hindi must be given more importance to protect the unity of the country”.

He said “PM Modi did the right thing by deciding to use official language in government work. It will definitely increase the importance of Hindi. It is time to use official language in maintaining national unity”.

“When two Government employees of two different languages talk among themselves, they should speak in Hindi, not any other language” he added.
