Manipur government declared entire Manipur ‘threatened’ area under AFSPA Act

Debjit Mukherjee: The state government has declared the entire Manipur as a ‘threatened’ area under the controversial AFSPA Act. However, the area of 19 police stations, including the capital Imphal, will not come under the special powers of the army. According to news sources, this law will be effective for the next six months.
