Md Nawaj Shorif, Natun Gati: In recognition of his contribution to social and humanitarian work, Barisal District Additional Deputy Commissioner and popular writer Mondip Gharai received the World Diplomacy Forum Award 2023 at the Hotel Ambassador in Bangkok.
He received this Social Leadership Award for engaging the young generation in creative and positive activities by building Unmukht Pathagar (Ekush) and Kavitar Dewal (Kavyamaya). Before this, he was awarded the Global Youth Parliament’s Leadership Award in 2021, Purity Award in 2022 and other awards.
He said, “Any achievement is a joy. But it also increases the responsibility for the days ahead. I will try to convert the joy of achievement into a more auspicious initiative. I took these two initiatives while serving as UNO at Shariatpur headquarters. So I dedicate this award to the people of Shariatpur. I want to work for people till the last breath of my life.”
