“PM Modi was the first to donate 2.25 lakhs to PM Cares Fund” trending on Twitter

News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the PM Cares Fund to fight crisis created by the pandemic Corona. From then till now, several questions were raised about the use of the deposited money and the reason why Prime Minister is not allowing it’s auditing.

PM Modi was the first to contribute Rs 2.25 lakhs to the PM Cares Fund to fight the crisis on 27th March 2020. As per a senior official “PM Modi has been donating for the benefit of the public for a long time. The initial amount of Rs 2.5 lakh was donated by PM to PM CARES”. Once this information got revealed Twitter started trending Rs 2.25.

As per senior officials PM also donated Rs 21 lakhs from his personal savings to the fund for the sanitation workers when he visited Kumbh Mela last year. He also donated Rs 1.3 crores for Seoul Peace Prize and also donated money for “Namami Gange Mission”.

As per sources Prime Minister Narendra Modi so far has contributed 103 crores to the PM Cares Fund.
