News Desk: Professor Najibar Rahman, Principal of Kaliachak College, has enhanced the prestige of Malda District and Gaur Banga by taking charge of PhD Thesis Examiner in the international arena.
A letter came to Dr. Rahman last month as an examiner of the PhD thesis in the English department of the renowned Rajshahi University of Bangladesh. The research paper was entitled The Cochrane of Cultural Representation of the Bengali Diaspora Writings: An Exploration Into the Home Narratives from Bharti Mukherjee and Jhumpa Lahiri. This is a unique study on the emotions, feelings, roots of the country, adaptation to the foreign environment of those who have migrated to Europe and America from Bengal and even from Calcutta.
After receiving the evaluation letter of Dr. Rahman, the Research Committee of Rajshahi University has sent him an invitation letter again as one of the examiners for the defense or face-to-face examination. It is learned that he will arrive on February 1 to perform the duties of physical examiner in compliance with the tax rules. In this news, the wind of praise is blowing in the education circles of the district.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee mentioned in the Malda Administrative Meeting that the universities here should try to take reading and research to the international level by signing MoUs with foreign universities. This recognition of Dr. Najibur Rahman could be an indicator of taking the university to the international arena. He hoped that the University of Gaudabanga would take positive steps in the coming days by expanding the work of education and research in the international arena with emphasis on the talented teachers of the university or college, keeping in view the directives of the Chief Minister.
