Debjit Mukherjee: Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar announced the schedule of polling in five states in a press conference on Monday. It is known that the election war of five states is starting from November 7. Elections will be held in Chhattisgarh and Mizoram on the same day. The commission said that the election of the northeastern state will be held in one round. However, election in Chhattisgarh will be in two phases. The second phase of voting in the state will be held on November 17. Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana – these three states will vote in one phase, said the commission.
Voting in Madhya Pradesh will begin on November 17. Rajasthan will vote on November 23. Finally, the election will be held in Telangana. Voting will be held on November 30. Election results will be announced on December 3. The process of submission of nominations will start from the end of October. Also, a by-election to an assembly seat in Nagaland will be held on November 7.
