Sri Lankan government withdrew state of emergency

News Desk: To improve law and order, the president’s office said in a statement that the Sri Lankan government had lifted the state of emergency imposed on the country two weeks ago.

Sri Lanka is going through an extreme economic crisis. And the people blamed the Rajapaksa family for this situation. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has declared a state of emergency for the second time since midnight on May 6 after seeing continuous protests. At least 9 people have been killed and at least 200 injured in clashes between protesters and police. Ranil Wickremesinghe has become the new Prime Minister of the country.
