Shiv Sena beefed up security at Aurangzeb’s graveyard after threats from Raj Thackeray’s MNS

News Desk: Shiv Sena has beefed up security at Aurangzeb’s graveyard by deploying six more policemen after threats from Raj Thackeray’s MNS.

The incident started from the tomb visit of AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi. Veteran leader Sharad Pawar expressed fears of controversy over the visit. And it came out true.

“Why should there be a tomb of a Mughal ruler on Shivaji’s land. If that tomb is destroyed, then Aurangzeb’s heirs will not be able to come here and bow down their heads” the MNS leader said on Twitter.

He added “Bal Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena, also wanted the tomb to be demolished. Would you not obey Balasaheb? Of course, you have started walking in the opposite direction from the demand to change the name of Aurangabad”.

Following this tweet, several residents of Khultabad demanded ASI to lock the graveyard. But no action will be taken without a written application, said Milan Kumar Chaul, Superintendent of Aurangabad Region of the organization. However, they said they had deployed four more workers and sought police help.
