News Desk: A 3-day sports-cultural and blood donation festival was organized by Golar Sushila Vidyapith of Keshpur block. The program got off to a good start with the opening music and lighting of lamps.
The members of the festival committee were welcomed at the commencement of the program. Inter-primary and secondary level quiz competitions were held on this day. The first, second and third place winners of the annual sports competition were awarded with medals. Students of 7th, 8th and 9th classes performed patriotic dances. “Marriage in Lockdown”, “School after Corona”, “Kalaghatak”, “Dead Body” dramas were staged. Thanks were also extended to civic volunteers, health workers and hopefuls for their invaluable contributions during the Coronation.
The busts of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and Mother Teresa were unveiled. Blood donation camp was held on this day. On this day 108 blood donors donated blood in the camp. Additional District Magistrate of West Midnapore Shri Kempahanaiya (IAS), former Head of the Department of Bangla at Vidyasagar University, Prof. Dr. Layek Ali Khan, Prof. Dr. Kalosona Pal, Uttamananda Tripathi, Shri Asim Dhar, Habiba Begum and others were present. Artist Matwar Mallick performed the music.
