62 yr old man arrested by UP police for derogatory remarks against PM Narendra Modi

News Desk: A 62-year-old man, Manmohan Mishra, has been arrested by a team of Uttar Pradesh Police from Chennai for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Manmohan Mishra, a native of Jaunpur in UP, has been living in Chennai for the past 35 years and is alleged to have made a derogatory remark on his YouTube channel.

The man, with just 710 subscribers on his YouTube channel, has made several remarks against PM Modi.

In his most recent video on August 13, a day prior to his arrest, Manmohan Mishra had again criticised PM Modi and the video received over 1,100 views, the highest for his channel.

In his videos, Mishra has often targeted PM Modi by calling him names while also questioning his policy decisions and Covid-related work.

The UP Police reached Chennai two days prior to the arrest and informed the local police and after the arrest, they produced Mishra at the Madhavaram Magisterial Court, which granted them transit remand for Mishra.

The 62-year-old man has been taken into custody over his demands seeking PM Modi’s resignation. The charges filed against Mishra are still unknown.
