West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee talked about her priorities in the oath-taking ceremony

News Desk: In the oath-taking ceremony on Wednesday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that her first priority is tackling the Covid pandemic and other priority is to tackle law and order in the state.

She said “My first priority is tackling the Covid pandemic. I will go to Nabanna now and hold a meeting about the measures we are taking about this crisis… I will hold a press conference at 3 pm and let you know what measures we are taking”

“My second priority is to tackle law and order in the state… I appeal to all political parties to refrain from any sort of violence… I will be posting special officers to handle the situation… We will handle the situation sternly. For the last three months, the state was under the Election Commission and I did not have much say. There was a lot of inefficiency in the state system during this time. I will set up a new police system today itself and tackle the violence with utmost firmness” she added.
