Bengal post-poll violence: CBI registered 10 more FIRs and arrested two

News Desk: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered 10 more FIRs in connection with post-poll violence in West Bengal. With this, the total number of FIRs in poll violence-related incidents has reached 21.

Additionally, two people have been arrested by the CBI in one of the previous FIRs. These are the CBI’s first arrests in cases pertaining to post-poll violence in West Bengal. The two arrested – Biju and Aasima Ghosh – were accused of assaulting BJP support Ayan Mondal and two others with bamboo sticks on May 14, according to sources.
