Bengal post poll violence: With three more FIRs, the number of registered cases reached 31

News Desk: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered three more FIRs in connection with the post-poll violence in West Bengal.

The fresh cases were filed by CBI in Purba Medinipur district’s Nandigram and Cooch Behar’s Sitalkuchi areas. With this, the total number of cases registered by CBI in poll violence-related incidents has reached 31.

Earlier the state BJP announced formation of committees in districts to help the victims of post poll violence and ensure hurdle free interaction between victims or their families and the CBI officials. The ruling TMC alleged that this is a direct attempt to influence CBI sleuths.
