BJP terror in the villages of Maina

News Desk: Unannounced closure were seen on Tuesday in the Bakcha Panchayat area of Maina. Many shops were closed in the Basic Bazaar. A local grassroots leader said that the BJP workers are threatening from door to door. He also alleged that ruling party (TMC) workers were prevented from opening their shops.

Police were on patrol in Khidirpur village near the house of dead BJP activist Deepak Mandal. The local leadership of the ruling party claims that BJP workers are dominating almost everywhere. They claim that many of them are accused in the murder of Trinamool activist Basudev Mandal, who was killed a year ago on his way back from his daughter’s house in Baruna Village. Since then about hundred workers of the ruling party have been homeless.

Maina Block Trinamool president Subrata Malakar said, “Many of our workers have been homeless in the area for a long time. I have informed the district police superintendent as well as the state leadership to bring them back” he said. They are being pressured to go to the BJP program. The BJP district leadership has denied the allegations of the Trinamool.
