“BJP wants to spread falsehoods about the state”: Sougoto Roy

News Desk: West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh on Sunday alleged that the state government has given shelter to terrorists. He said “People of North 24 Parganas District are living in a state of fear. TMC has now joined hands with forces it has once labelled ‘anti-national’ with an eye on three assembly seats in the Hills”

Ghosh added “The other day six Al-Qaeda terrorists were arrested from Alipurduar. A network has been formed in several places of the state. Even Bangladesh leader Khaleda Zia has said the terrorists are being trained in India and sent to Bangladesh to create disturbance. The situation of Bengal is now worse than Kashmir. Many Rohingyas and infiltrators from Bangladesh had settled in these regions and were being used by the TMC to improve its voter base”

TMC MP Sougoto Roy reacted strongly to his statement. He said “Everything that Dilip Ghosh says is a plain lie and people in the state know that. There are no illegal activities going on in the state as BJP keeps alleging but has not been able to prove… North Bengal is completely peaceful. There is no Gorkha agitation, but BJP wants to spread falsehoods about the state”
