News Desk: Protesting farmers are continuing with their protest against the center, but at the same time they haven’t forgotten thye tweets made by celebrities in connection with the protest. As Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bell Bottom’ hit the theatres, there were chants of ‘Akshay Kumar Ki Film Dekhne Walo Sharam Karo’ as he was one of the many celebrities who hinted that farmers’ protests were propaganda and urged people not to fall for it.
Farmers said “We’ll not let Akshay Kumar’s movie to run in Punjab and we are giving a warning to the district authorities to stop the screening of his movie, else farmers will chose their own way to stall the screening”
Why farmers are angry with Akshay Kumar?
Kumar once tweeted against the farmers protest and said “Farmers constitute an extremely important part of our country. And the efforts being undertaken to resolve their issues are evident. Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences”. He ended up receiving widespread criticism for his tweet.
