Haryana Independence Day Celebration: Deputy Commissioners, not ministers, will unfurl national flag in seven troubled districts

News Desk: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that Deputy Commissioners, not ministers, will unfurl the national flag at seven troubled districts which are hub of farm protests on Independence Day. He also said that hoist the national flag in Faridabad, while Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala will attend the August 15 function at Mahendragarh.

Khattar said “Most farmers, protesting in the outskirts of Delhi, hail from Sirsa, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Sonipat and Jind districts. Deputy commissioners of police (DCP), and not district guardian ministers, will hoist the flags in these districts”

According to the schedule of Independence Day functions, Khattar will unfurl the Tricolour in Faridabad, while Dushyant will do the honours in Mahendragarh.
