“I will not resign from the post of MLA”: TMC leader Mukul Roy responded to LoP Suvendu Adhikari’s threat

News Desk: TMC leader Mukul Roy responded to LoP Suvendu Adhikari’s threat and said “I will not resign from the post of MLA”.

Adhikari has launched a scathing campaign against Roy, who fought and won the recently concluded Assembly polls on a BJP ticket only to return to the TMC last week. “Todna-Jodna is part of TMC’s dirty politics. They have been doing this for the past 10 years and nobody opposed it. But it is being opposed now and action will be taken under the anti-defection law,” Adhikari said.

Adhikari, the Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly has openly given a dare to Roy asking him to resign. On Monday, a group of 50 MLAs led by Adhikari submitted a memorandum to West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar urging that anti-defection law be invoked against Roy.
