ICCR Director General Dinesh Patnaik said that Bangladesh communal violence will not affect New Delhi-Dhaka relationship

News Desk: After six people were killed and hundreds injured in communal violence that took place during the Durga Puja celebrations in Bangladesh last week, Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Dinesh K Patnaik has said that “small incidents” do not make differences between New Delhi and Dhaka.

Patnaik said that relations between the two countries are very strong and small incidents would not make a difference in a larger picture of diplomatic relations between two countries.

Also, the leadership of both countries are mature enough, he added.

“We are working together on many issues. This is a very important year. The year of 50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence in which India has played a very key role” he added.
