Mamata Banerjee talks about industry and employment

News Desk: Keeping the upcoming 2021 elections in mind, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is focusing on providing jobs to the unemployed. She said that her state is number one in small and medium and skill based industries and they’ll lead the country in future.
 
Since West Bengal got the benefit of the Chief Minister’s foreign visit, so she inaugurated a project in Bantala for improvement in the leather industry, where The European Union will pay 80 percent of the cost and machines have already been installed from Italy for training.
 
She said “There will be at least five lakh jobs in the leather industry in Bantala. A solar power project is being set up in Medinipur with German investment. Lots of people will get job opportunities. Many unemployed youths will also get jobs in new industries in Digha. West Bengal is the first in small and medium industries. We have jungle, sea, mountains all here. In that case, it is possible to improve the tourism business”
