Meghalaya BJP vice-president Bernard Marak arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district

Debjit Mukherjee: Meghalaya BJP vice-president Bernard Marak was arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district.

There were allegations that he used to run a brothel in his farm house. On Friday, the police conducted a raid and took 73 people into custody from that farm house. Many of them are minors. Police also seized a large quantity of liquor, 500 packets of contraceptives. Five more children were rescued from an abandoned dirty room.

The BJP leader fled after this incident. After that the Meghalaya Police issued a look out notice against him. On the other hand, a Meghalaya court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him yesterday.
