New set of norms and tactical measures announced by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee

News Desk: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday announced a new set of norms and tactical measures to deal the pandemic situation. She set the time limit for retail stores to operate and also percentage of staffs for IT sector companies.

She said “Retail stores can operate between 12pm – 3noon. Information technology offices can work with 10% staff”

“Construction workers can be employed in construction by arranging vaccinations. They have to wear masks and follow guidelines. Many brick kilns have submerged. These workers can be used to repair the damage caused by the cyclone. In addition, fishermen also suffered great loss, use them. You can even employ migrant workers” she added.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee also announced that state government will ask for money from Niti Ayog for setting up 500 more flood shelters. She also talked about setting up of cold storages and warehouses and said that the state government, in the best possible way, will setup houses damaged by Yaas.

“Only areas that suffered by Yaas will get Duare Tran. We haven’t asked PM for relief. We just gave him the account of losses and told him to give whatever amount he wants” she added.
