News Desk: Excise arrested an RSS man with 100 litre liquor stocked dry day sales. Taken into custody in flash raid is RSS workers Soju aka Srijith from Chettadi Veedu in Adichanaloor Mailamcode. According to Excise, Sritjith’s house was fashioned out like a parallel bar. There were 14 crates of liquor bottles stocked at the time of raid.
Officers seized 103.5 litre of liquor worth rs 2.5 lakhs filled into 207 half-litre bottles. Srijith made his buys from various beverages outlets at varied times. He has a previous arrest record for liquor sale and was currently under Excise surveillance. His carried out sales in Paravur, Kottiyam, Thattamala and Pallikum.
Srijith mostly did his selling on days when other liquor shops stayed shut. He made doorstep deliveries for his buyers. Srijith said he took to liquor sales to tide over money problems following closure of his mobile shop in Kozhikode.
