“The temple is a symbol of faith for common people but the BJP and the RSS have made it a medium of business”: Om Prakash Rajbhar

News Desk: On alleged Ayodhya land deal fraud, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief Om Prakash Rajbhar on Monday said that BJP and RSS made temples a medium of business”. He also asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath when action will be taken against the accused.

He said “The temple is a symbol of faith for common people but the BJP and the RSS have made it a medium of business. The land was purchased for Rs 2 crore on March 18 for the construction of Ram temple and five minutes later, it was bought by the Ram Mandir Trust for Rs 18.50 crore”. He also sought a probe by the CBI and the ED into the scandal.

Rajbhar also targetted PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and said “Both of them claim zero tolerance for corruption. So they should make it clear as to when a case will be registered against the trustee of the Ram Mandir Trust and when the accused persons will be sent to jail. The sentiments of crores of devotees have been hurt by this scandal”

At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma on Monday hit out at those alleging corruption in purchase of land in Ayodhya by the Ram temple trust, saying some people do not leave any opportunity to defame the Ram Janmabhoomi. Sharma said “The official answer to allegations of corruption will be given by officials of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. I would say in one line that there are some people in the Opposition who do not like anything positive in context to the Ram Janmabhoomi. Sometimes they say Lord Ram was fictional, and that the Ram Setu did not exist. They also taunt”

“When all the obstructions for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya were cleared, the Opposition started an anargal pralaap. They do not hesitate in leaving any opportunity to defame the Ram Janmabhoomi” Sharma added.
