West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh claimed that petition for recounting will be filed within some time

News Desk: While Mamata Banerjee has approached the High Court for recounting of votes in the Nandigram seat, BJP will submit an election petition in the Supreme court against the West Bengal assembly election 2021 and would demand a recounting of the same. State BJP president Dilip Ghosh claims, their lawyers are dealing with that issue. Ghosh has also criticised the state government over water logging problems.

Responding to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s appeal to the court for recounting in Nandigram, he said, “She can go. We are also going to court with few demands. Our counting agents had also been forcefully sent out in several places. She can go to court to demand justice. Everyone has this right. Bu it is true, that she had been defeated.  She had already decided to contest from another place.”

On being asked about BJP’s demand of recounting votes of Bengal assembly, he said, “BJP has not appealed for recounting yet.  An election petition may be filed and this will be done at the Supreme court within some time. Our lawyers are dealing with that.”

Speaking about the increase of subscription of TMC MLA, he said,” It is their party’s internal matter. CPM used to take the full amount. Every party has its own policy.”

Pointing on Firhad Hakim’s comment on water logging, Dilip Ghosh said, “Will anyone believe them to do in one year,  who all could not be able to do in ten years?”

“Last time during Amphan, current failure continues seven days. He denied to say anything before seven days.

Today who all are criticising Governor and former irrigation minister had not done anything even having the money. Because they have not the intension to do that. They are only doing politics. They have not even been able to give tirpals who all have lost their houses in the cyclone. ”

Speaking on Covid vaccination Dilip Ghosh said, “More vaccines are being sent by the Centre. Around 3 lakhs are in stock. But common people are not getting vaccines.

Speaking about the political violence in Bengal, Dilip Ghosh said, “Cant solve the ongoing political violence since more than last one and half month. They are trying to make people fool by making the issue of governor. Try to do those commitments after coming into power,  which they had given. Everyone knows that you will not been able to fulfil those.”

Talking about the presence of Shilbhadra Dutta in a meeting Dilip Ghosh responded, “No other MLAs had been called there. Shilbhadra Dutta was in the management crisis team there. And the meeting was with their team. So no question of the presence of others in that meeting. Biswajit Das still is in BJP.”
