News Desk: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to launch #SpeakUpforWomenSafety campaign along with a video. He tweeted “The government’s attitude in the Hathras incident is inhuman and immoral. It is not the government’s job to protect the criminals. Come let us raise our voice against injustice towards women. #SpeakUpforWomenSafety”
This campaign is seen as a reaction of UP BJP MLA Surendra Singh’s controversial comment of linking rape with sanskar. Even a couple of days back he claimed that Rahul Gandhi has an anti-Hindu mindset and wants to convert India into an Islamic country. He also said that if Gandhi fails to succeed in his mission, he’ll move to Italy.
Now will this controversial comment of Singh help Rahul Gandhi to strengthen Congress in the nation? As women safety is an important subject of our country, so this might help Gandhi to win female votes. And this might also help Congress in the upcoming elections and also make BJP suffer in their own ruling states.
