Mamata Banerjee to be awarded with Netaji Subhas Rashtriya Samman

News Desk: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would get the seventh Netaji Subhas Rashtriya Samman, declared former Odisha Chief Minister Hemananda Biswal on Friday.

Banerjee would get the national award for best Covid management in the country, said Biswal who is also the chief adviser of Netaji Birth Soil Yatra.

“Banerjee is the only Chief Minister who was on the street without caring for her own life. She had only one concern to save the lives of nine crore plus Bengalis and migrants. She has proved herself as a true disciple of Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhash to serve the masses,” said Biswal.

She formed the Global Advisory Committee (GAC) to face socioeconomic and health challenges caused due to coronavirus. The committee is headed by Nobel winner Abhijit Binayak Bandopadhyay.

Her project Matir Srishti to convert 50,000 acres of barren land in rural areas to horticulture, animal resources fishery has provided livelihood sources to people.
