News Desk: Sajal Ghosh, election agent of BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal for the Bhawanipore seat, on Tuesday, wrote to Bhawanipore Returning Officer to register his complaint.
He wrote to the EC saying “I beg to object to the nomination/declaration filed by Mamata Banerjee… on the ground that the candidate has failed to disclose particulars of the pending criminal proceedings against her”
In the letter, he also mentioned the number of cases filed against chief minister Mamata Banerjee at various police stations in Assam.
The ruling TMC refuted such allegations and said “She is only required to disclose details of cases if she is actually named in the charge sheet”
