News Desk: After Amit Shah left Kolkata on Friday night after a two-day state tour, members of the BJP Youth Front (BJYM) were attacked. The Trinamool (TMC) was accused of attacking two Youth Front members in Kanchrapara of North 24 Parganas during the night. They were allegedly stabbed at the crematorium. Both of them have been admitted to JNM Hospital in Kalyani with injuries. Shankudev Panda, vice-president of the BJP Youth Front, strongly condemned the incident on social media.
According to local sources, two brothers, Sukant and Shantanu Gangopadhyay, both residents of Kanchrapara, are known to be active BJP activists in the area. They are both members of the Youth Front. Sukanta and Shantanu went to the crematorium for the funeral of a friend’s father late on Friday night. Allegedly, the grassroots miscreants attacked them there. Sukant Gangopadhyay said, “At night, about 20 to 25 members of the Trinamool-based goons suddenly attacked us and started beating us.” Is struck with a sharp weapon. We are members of the BJP Youth Front, that is our crime. ” However, no complaint has been lodged with the police so far. Although the local Trinamool leadership has denied the allegations, no one from the party was involved in the attack, but rather the BJP’s infighting.
BJP youth front state vice-president Shankudev Panda tweeted a strong response to the incident. He wants to bring the matter to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. That is why this area of North 24 Parganas is prone to political tension. As Arjun Singh used to be in the grassroots, there were always big and small political clashes, but now that he has switched parties and become a BJP MP, the atmosphere of unrest has not improved. During his visit to the state, Union Minister Amit Shah has expressed his displeasure with the state government over political violence. And just after that, the attack on BJP workers is believed to have further complicated the situation.
