News Desk: West Bengal Government has approached Supreme Court challenging the Calcutta High Court’s order directing CBI probe into the cases related to murder, rape and crime against women which happened in the State of West Bengal in May 2021 soon after the declaration of the assembly election results.
The State Government has averred that it did not expect a fair probe as the CBI was acting at Centre’s behest and is busy foisting cases against TMC functionaries.
